About EATMS

The firm where the engineer and the accountant are the same person.

EATMS exists because two conversations that should happen together almost never do: how work should be designed, and how the tax code rewards designing it well.

01 · OUR STORY

Why ergonomics and tax live under one roof.

Most ergonomics firms hand you recommendations and leave. Most tax firms show up after the fact, hunting through records that were never built to support a position. EATMS started from a simple observation: businesses that improve how people work are already doing what the tax code rewards. They just aren't documenting it.

A line redesigned to cut errors. An interface rebuilt for faster decisions. A building whose power and layout serve a specific process. Each is engineering, performance gain, and, documented correctly, a tax event. We run those projects from the start with the end in mind. The measurement discipline that makes the redesign work is the same discipline that makes the tax position hold.

Andy Cunningham, CPA

Founder  ·  Human Systems Engineering  ·  Ergonomics Certificate

A practicing CPA with a degree in Human Systems Engineering and field experience in cost segregation and R&D delivery. The team that instruments the baseline and designs the experiments is the team that applies the four-part test and answers the examiner. Nothing is lost between the floor and the return.

01 · Measured

Data before opinion

We quantify the baseline before we touch anything, and measure again after.

02 · Documented

Records built to survive review

Tests and data are produced as the work happens, not reconstructed at filing time.

03 · Defensible

Honest scoping

We tell you plainly when something does not qualify. You own the file. It stays confidential.

03 · RELATIONSHIPS & DISCLOSURES

Who else you may work with, stated plainly.

A&B Tax Services

EATMS shares its founder with A&B Tax Services. Businesses that come directly may prepare returns there. Referred clients keep their accountant. Those returns are never solicited.

Your accountant

EATMS does not prepare returns for referred clients or solicit their compliance work. Deliverables go to you and, at your direction, to your preparer.
